about bhr1
Who’s web site is this?
bhr1 is the personal site of Brian Robinson.
OK then what’s the point of it?
Honestly I’m not sure, but in the words of my son, "you made up a lot of words on this page". I guess I just decided to toss up new website. I’m interested in number of topics that range from Apple and it’s many products to visual design to the art of bonsai.

Apple?
I think this tweet pretty much sums up my relationship with Apple after 20+ years.
Visual Design?
I’ve always love the world of infographics. Thank you Tufte, Dave Grey and Karl Gude for opening my eyes to what this world is.
Bonsai?
I picked up the habit a couple years ago now and haven’t looked back. I take classes a couple times a year and have a little goal of getting a tree good enough to make it in a show.
So what do you use to run the site?
This version is using GetSimple which is a really great little CMS and I'm using posterous as a blog because it couldn't be easier. Over the last 10+ years the older versions of this website have used blogger, movable type, custom php, voodoopad and a long time ago trellix.
Is that right 10 years?
Yes it’s shocking, but around 10 years ago I started posting using trellix right before blogger came about. Gave up the blog in 2004 but started feeling the itch again about a year ago.
Ok so enough about you & the site what about the dog?
That’s Bindi Sue. She’s our english bulldog. She joined our family in 2007 as an amazing Christmas present from my wife and son.
How can I reach you?
Well there’s always email or better yet reach out on twitter, linkedin or facebook.
Do you really need a disclaimer?
Maybe, maybe not, but just to be safe... Opinions expressed on my personal website, bhr1, are my own and do not represent the opinions of my employer or anyone else for that matter. Mentions or link to an application, website, product or service does not imply I endorse it just that I mentioned it.
